About Brent Ottley
Brent is the Senior Technician/consultant to Yamaha Music Australia and has travelled extensively throughout Australia servicing Yamaha Grand Pianos in the leading music institutions.
He has studied extensively overseas at Yamaha, Japan, Indonesia and the USA. and Steinway in Hamburg.
As Yamaha technician at the Sydney International Piano Competition since 1996, Brent is the longest serving technician at the event. He has also been the technician for the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition since 1997.
Brent has provided training sessions for some of Australia's leading piano tuners through seminars and the Yamaha 'Key Essentials' Program. He has also conducted training courses for students and tuners internationally, in Afghanistan, Malaysia and China.
